At present, the industrialization of optical chips / optical modules in China is still at an early stage. There are not many enterprises capable of producing optical chips in China, about 30. Most of them can only produce low-end chips in large quantities, and only a few manufacturers can produce medium and high-end optical chips, but the production capacity is limited and the market accounts for less than 1%. Highly dependent on imports, including 400g and 800g optical modules are core technologies based on high-end optical chips.

According to the development roadmap of China's optical device industry (2018-2022), optical chips with a speed of 25gbps and above are highly dependent on imports, and the localization rate is only 3%. The first-line manufacturers in Europe, America and Japan have quite high-tech optical chip manufacturing capacity. The first-line manufacturers in Europe and America have the manufacturing capacity of 50Gbps optical chips, and the Japanese manufacturers also have the ability to support pam4 (400g optical module). The industrialization and mass production of single tube 50Gbps high-end optical chips belong to China's domestic blank at present.

Next, we will welcome this year's national finals, which will be held in Guangzhou from December 28 to 29. A total of 50 enterprises from the four major industries of high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, new energy vehicles, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, new generation information technology and biomedicine will compete on the same stage. This is the first time that the finals of China's highest specification, largest scale and widest coverage innovation and entrepreneurship events have been held in Guangzhou.


The enterprises of the final competition have all completed wrestling in the competition areas of 37 provinces and cities, and more than 1500 enterprises have successively landed in four cities hosting the national competition. About 600 excellent enterprises were selected in the national competition, and the "top 50 innovation and entrepreneurship" were promoted to the national finals. After layers of competition, the first, second and third prizes of the 10th China Innovation and entrepreneurship competition will be produced from the "top 50 innovation and entrepreneurship".

Since the start of the mass entrepreneurship and innovation competition in June this year, all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, cities specifically designated in the state plan and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps have actively organized local competitions. A total of 33289 enterprises participated in this competition. The enterprises that stand out from the initial 30000 enterprises are already outstanding - the data show that the participating enterprises have outstanding independent innovation ability this year, with more than 200000 intellectual property rights, with an average of 6.1 pieces per household; The total number of patents is 111652 (102758 in the growth group and 8894 in the start-up group), and the number of patents independently developed accounts for 90.5%.
